Birthday Gifts
The older you get the harder it is for people to buy you
birthday gifts. Kids are easy to buy for, they are easily pleased and finding gifts that will excite their imagination is not hard! But adults are a bit more tricky... especially after they've reached the landmark age of 30 and if I'm honest if they are a man. Men are particularly hard to buy for in general... and the older they get the more difficult it is to buy them something.
It's my dad's birthday today and he is one of those men who has everything that the wants. He doesn't need anything, so whatever gift I give him he will appreciate it but it won't be anything that he needs. I like the idea of giving an
engraved pens as birthday present. He is also jotting things down regularly and making notes about things, so this would be a useful gift. And as he goes out on business meetings quite regularly, he needs a pen to hand. Engraved pens are a great birthday gift idea for him therefore. It's practical and as he is a practical kind of guy it is just the sort of gift he would like. But I wouldn't just get him a bic biro pen because that would not have any sentimental value. By getting him engraved pens he would be able to use the pen whenever, and everytime he use it and looks at it, it would remind him of me. Also it's unlikely he'll lose his pen or someone would take it - we all know how pens go missing. But hopefully his
engraved pen wouldn't get taken because it would be personal to him.
